Dealing with Racing thoughts; How cool can it be!
Most of us have experienced stress related anxieties at some point in our lives. It can usually result in either depression or episodes leading to hyper-activity of the brain. Well besides the medical facts behind them and how dangerous and damaging could it be, i happen to actually have a detailed conversation about it with one of my close friend. And when she explained her feelings throughout the trauma she faced during her manic episode, i was amazed as how cool a man's mind is!
It was like racing thoughts all around her, like her brain was more efficient than it has ever been. She seemed to remember the tiniest details of the memories including the date, time of the years that had importance in her life. She seemed so hyped up that her relatives and friends were scared. She would not sleep or eat or drink and kept working all day long being productive at her work place more than before.
However, this is the initial stage where the positive anxiety turns into a dangerous one. Sometimes, your mind processes so much information that you start to make no sense out of it and often end up in breaking down. Dealing with such racing thoughts is a key element of the brain and this is where its decided what level of risk-taker you are. Handling depression is another art performed by the brain. People with such illness should be reinforced with positivism of how cool their Brains are instead of scaring them with the outcomes. They should instead be more alert to tackle the situations leading to such episodes, make them more informed so they become better players with their mind games.
On the other hand, if a limited amount of stress is handled effectively it can lead to alert decision making, more productivity and even possibilities of generating brighter, creative ideas.
